Figtree HS will be non-operational on Wed. 4 May 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

The NSW Department of Education and the NSW Teachers Federation have been negotiating to reach an agreement on the new Teachers Award. As yet, this has not been resolved. The NSW Teachers Federation membership have voted to take industrial action in the form of a 24-hour strike on Wednesday 4 May 2022.

As a result of the strike, Figtree High School will be non-operational on Wednesday 4 May 2022.

The health and safety of all students is paramount, and parents and carers are advised to make alternative supervision arrangements for their child/ren on this day.
