Figtree High School values and respects our local Aboriginal culture and heritage. We are therefore
in the process of updating our Acknowledgement of Country to ensure that it encompasses some of
the rich Aboriginal history and culture from our local area. Our authentic Acknowledgement of
Country will only be used within the school grounds, such as school ceremonies and assemblies.
We are providing an opportunity for our students, parents and our community to become involved
in the consultation process to come up with ideas, share thoughts and views regarding the new
Acknowledgement of Country.
