A year at our school
The Golden Figs Showcase at Figtree High School is a vibrant evening celebrating student creativity and talent across Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Visual Design and Photography.
The Figtree High School HSC Showcase evening welcomes families, friends, and community members to celebrate the graduating students' major works across diverse subjects, including Visual Arts, Music, Drama, IT Timber, and Humanities.
Year 7 Camp is held at Cataract Scout Camp, offering a mix of tents and cabins for accommodation. Over the course of the camp, students engage in a wide range of activities designed to build teamwork, resilience, and friendships.
The school’s swimming, athletics, and cross country carnivals are exciting events that encourage students to showcase their fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. These carnivals provide a fun and inclusive environment where students of all abilities can participate, compete, and celebrate their personal achievements.
Our school proudly celebrates cultural diversity through events like NAIDOC Week, Sorry Day, and Harmony Day, fostering respect and understanding among all students. These occasions provide meaningful opportunities to honour First Nations culture, promote reconciliation, and embrace the richness of our multicultural community
Figtree High School fosters strong student leadership through roles such as the SRC, House Captains, CAPA Coordinators, and Peer Support leaders, empowering students to make a positive impact within the community. These leadership opportunities help develop confidence, responsibility, and teamwork, allowing students to contribute meaningfully to school life.
Our school offers a comprehensive High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) program designed to challenge and inspire gifted students through tailored learning opportunities. The program nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and academic excellence, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
